As you can see from this image, the back of the unit shows where the indexing pin connects to the index plate. Also the stops used to control the depth of cut are visible at the lower right. The two chrome stop pins are tightened into position prior to cutting and can be used to set the position of the project in relation to the cutter. At first I didn't think it would be necessary to set a stop for the back position, but I found it can really speed up the operation when you don't have to concentrate on how far back the project is from the cutter.
